Du Buisson & van Beest hands-on experts in complex high quality car restoration project management. Restoring high-end classic cars in a timely fashion proves to be a challenge for many restoration companies. Also providing a fair turn key project price, that does not overrun at the blink of an eye, does not seem to be as common as one could expect.
Du Buisson & van Beest have their own, straightforward, method utilizing individual and honest craftsmanship. The complete overhaul of a classic car incorporates many skills rarely found in one individual company. We believe that by sourcing specialists in their own field of expertise the highest possible quality will be achieved. Another major advantage is that dead lines can be met. We break down a project into individual tasks with corresponding planning and critical path. These tasks require skills which are executed by selected craftsmen. No further break down or subcontracting from this level is accepted. For example the coating of a seat frame is not left to the upholsterer but performed by our selected coating specialist. We believe this is the best and most cost efficient method to guarantee the expected quality. Furthermore this method is the basis to fully restore classic cars in a short time frame, because the project is not held up by in-company bottle necks or prioritization. In our opinion the key to a successful and timely project is project management, making sure the individual tasks are completed according to the project plan which is based on experience, and having multiple specialists to do what they are good at, creating their pieces of art. The partners are selected carefully and our hands on understanding of the technical challenges guarantees long lasting business relationships. The high quality standards we set are incorporated in these relationships. This forms the basis of long lasting partnerships. The preservation of these partnerships prevails.
Results of this approach can be found in our recent projects, a Maserati Sebring series 1 1963 and a Maserati 3500 GT 1962. These full restorations were completed within 10 months from start to full completion.
